Teodoro said he intends to assert himself in enforcing party rules.
“If elected President and if we are the majority in the House, the House speakership should be a party consensus,” Teodoro told guests at the Manila Overseas Press Club’s 4th Presidential Forum Series in Makati City last Friday.
“For the good of the party, it would not be President Gibo but the Lakas-Kampi-CMD that will decide on the issue,” said Teodoro when asked what he would do in case the President seeks the House speakership.

Gibo wants bets’ bank accounts bared
MANILA, Philippines – Lakas-Kampi-CMD standard-bearer Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. said yesterday the bank secrecy law should be lifted or at least reviewed in order to unmask financial transactions of politicians suspected to have links to the illegal drug trade.
The US State Department reported that some candidates in the coming national elections are receiving funding from drug syndicates.
“That situation is very dangerous as drug syndicates can easily help a candidate win through their money,” Teodoro said.
