LAST MARCH 16, LOCAL MEDIA IN TAGBILARAN City, Bohol, were stirred by a public presentation by the Research Center of Holy Name University (HNU) of the following voting intention percentages from its Bohol Poll of Feb. 13 to March 8, 2010:

For President: Aquino 44, Villar 24, Teodoro 6, Estrada 2, Madrigal 0.3, Villanueva 0.3, Acosta 0.3, Gordon 0.2, Perlas 0.1, de los Reyes 0, and Don’t Know/Refused (DK/R) 23.

For Vice President: Roxas 43, Legarda 19, Binay 11, Manzano 3, Fernando 2, Chipeco 0.1, Yasay 0.1, Sonza 0, and DK/R 23.

The new Bohol Poll was done on a provincial sample of 400 respondents, with 100 apiece from Tagbilaran, the rest of District 1, District 2 and District 3. That implies error margins of 5 percent at the provincial level, and 10 percent in each area.

heaven help us if Noynoy becomes president! the country needs a competent leader, who doesn’t rely much to his/her advisers, who knows what he/she is talking about, a person who name drops (mom or dad)…duh! we can’t afford a trial and error approach in our president.
