MANILA, Philippines – Former President and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) founder Fidel V. Ramos blamed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, her family and close allies for the problems now hounding the merged Lakas-Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino-CMD.
While Ramos didn't identify the President by name, he made an obvious dig at the President before leaving for China earlier Thursday.
“I’m still so concerned about the future and the capabilities of the original Lakas-CMD, which has an international reach and whose philosophy of governance and vision for the people remains unchanged, and that’s common good, not for particular families and oligarchs who want to stay in power. I think that’s the problem the merged party now has but not Gibo,” Ramos said.
