Administration party standard-bearer Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. on Thursday advised his second cousin, Liberal Party presidential bet Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino not to be too confident about his lead in survey ratings.
In an interview during a sortie in Negros Occidental, Teodoro disputed Aquino’s claim that the May presidential polls will be a “two-man race.” (See: Presidential polls a two-man race, Noynoy says)
Aquino continues to lead in various presidential preference polls, closely followed by Nacionalista Party (NP) standard-bearer, Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. (See: Villar slips, Noynoy stays on top in new Pulse Asia survey)

Lakas-Kampi members start getting funds, says Arroyo ally
TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – Former chief presidential legal counsel Sergio Apostol said he has received his own campaign funds from the Lakas-Kampi-CMD.
Apostol, who is running for the second congressional district of Leyte currently held by his wife Trinidad, refused to say how much he had received but said his daughter Ann Lie, a candidate for the Leyte provincial board, picked up the money.
“What I received from the party was just the first tranch. Perhaps in the coming weeks, I can get the remaining amount,” according to Apostol, who was named as the interim president of the party for the Visayas.
