If Malacañang had reacted to the Maguindanao massacre as indignantly as it did to insinuations that President Arroyo had a hand in clearing members of the Ampatuan clan in connection with the murders, the Palace would find it easier to sell its case to the public.

Malaya: Agra’s incendiary ruling

THE country’s top state prosecutors yesterday placed their careers on the line by publicly questioning acting justice secretary Alberto Agra’s decision to clear two prominent members of the Ampatuan clan of murder charges arising from the massacre last November of 57 political enemies, their supporters and media men.

Inquirer: Obscenity

FIRST, the Arroyo Administration made possible the horrific massacre of 57 people, including 31 journalists, in Ampatuan, Maguindanao, last November. Now, it has massacred justice and the rule of law by dropping murder charges against two members of the Ampatuan clan who are suspected to have a hand in the heinous crime.
