MANILA, Philippines – Bangon Pilipinas vice presidential candidate Perfecto Yasay Jr. said yesterday he plans to change the socioeconomic policies in the country if he wins in the May polls.

He said present economic policies favor only the rich and the elite, leaving the poor with fewer opportunities to share in the country’s resources.

“I would like to make sure that the fundamental law of our economic system is dismantled,” he said.

Yasay echoes fear of poll failure

MANILA, Philippines – Bangon Pilipinas Party (BPP) vice presidential candidate Perfecto Yasay Jr. yesterday asserted there are indications that there would be a failure of elections on May 10.

Yasay called on the people to remain vigilant and protect their votes rather than protesting in the streets.

“What I don’t like is for our people to say that we accept that as a matter of fact so let’s go to the streets, because that is grabbing power. We should educate the people that they should be vigilant,” Yasay said.
