MANILA, Philippines—Based on the municipal certificates of canvass (COCs) his camp has gathered, Liberal Party vice-presidential candidate Manuel “Mar” Roxas II would edge Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay in the vice-presidential race by around 200,000 votes, former Defense Secretary Avelino Cruz said Saturday.
Cruz said that the municipal COCs the LP obtained from around the country were tabulated by Ateneo de Manila University professor Edmundo Lim and they showed Roxas would win by “plus or minus 200,000” votes.
Binay’s camp does not have access to these documents because they are not the dominant minority party.
