MANILA, Philippines – The Liberal Party (LP) has advised leading vice-presidential candidate Jejomar Binay not to be confident with his current standing in the vice-presidential elections, as it unveiled data from certificates of canvass (COCs) that show Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II leading the race.
The LP based its finding on 88 out of the total 108 provincial and chartered city COCs that it has obtained, showing Roxas with a lead of 137,404 votes over Binay. Roxas has 11,890,802 votes, while Binay has 11,753,398 votes based on these COCs.
Binay earlier said he would win the vice-presidential race since he leads in the official tally of the Comelec and the unofficial count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
